Coordinating
the inaugural Athlete Health Care program at Jerome will be Head Athletic
Trainer, Ric Fail, ATC/L. Ric brings 20 years of athletic training experience
at the collegiate and high school level. He joined the Dublin School system
in 1996 as an assistant athletic trainer at Dublin Coffman High School
and moved to Scioto High School in 2001. Prior coming to Dublin, he was
an Assistant Athletic Trainer/Clinical Supervisor at Otterbein College.
He is a graduate of Kent State University in Physical Education with an
Athletic Training concentration. Ric currently is a clinical site supervisor
for Otterbein College, Capital University, and the OSU Athletic Training
programs and is an active a lecturer for continuing education seminars
for coaches and athletic trainers. He coordinates the sports medicine
programming for the Ohio State High School Baseball Coaches Association
and is a yearly guest lecturer for the Ohio State Volleyball Coaches Association.
Ric is also active in the Ohio Athletic Trainer's Association (OATA) where
he serves on the Executive Board as the Central District Representative.
In May of 2001, he was selected as the OATA High School Athletic Trainer
of the Year. Ric and his wife Theresa reside in Lewis Center and spend
their free time spoiling their grandchildren.
Terri Hazucha,
ATC Assistant Athletic Trainer
Joining Ric coordinating the program is Athletic Trainer Terri Hazucha.
Terri brings over 25 years of experience at the collegiate and clinical
levels. Terri comes to us from The Ohio State University where she has
been the Director of the OSU Sports Medicine Center since 1990. Terri
holds degrees from the Ohio State University and Cleveland State University
in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training
and a General Science minor. Her career has been rich with diverse experiences
including volunteering with United States Olympic Committee, which culminated
in working the Olympic games in Los Angeles and being the Medical Coordinator
for the USA in the Olympic games in Calgary. Terri also captained the
medical staff athletic trainers for the Columbus Marathon for 10 years.
In 1990, Terri co-authored with Donna Hull a chapter entitled; Health
Care Systems for the Adolescent Athlete. In Advances in Sports Medicine
and Fitness, Vol. 3., Year Book Medical Publishers. We would like to welcome
Terri to the Jerome family.
Tom Hospel, MD Head Team Physician
Dr. Tom Hospel will be joining us here at Jerome as the Head Team Physician.
Dr. Hospel is sports medicine fellowship trained and is in practice with
Max Sports Medicine here in Dublin. Dr. Hospel has been the head team
physician for Scioto High for the past 3 years and has been a team physician
for the Ohio State University Athletic Department. Prior to joining the
Dublin staff, Dr. Hospel was the team Physician for Worthington Kilborne
High School. Dr. Hospel's practice is located on High Street in Dublin.

Consulting Physicians We are fortunate to have available several
other medical specialists who consult with the Dublin Athlete Health Care
Program. These physicians include the team physicians from our sister
schools within the Dublin district and several area orthopedic physicians.

the family physician or dictate medical care. The choice of health care
provider and initiation of medical referral always remains at the discretion
